Wiring Electric Fan without ECM
I think i may have accidentally posted this in the wrong section before this but I have an 88 Firebird Vin E TBI with the L03 5.0L; however I am swapping over to a new carbed 350 and I understand that the stock electric fan is controlled by the ecm. How will I get the fan to work properly without the ecm? I'm a little confused when it comes to the wiring. Sorry if this is basic question but I'm totally lost. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I kept mine too, I just wired the ground side of the relay up to a toggle switch inside the car.
Re: Wiring Electric Fan without ECM
Single fan is controlled independently of the ECM by the coolant fan switch. Keep everything to the fan harness as it is and you should be fine. Adding a switch is not recommended unless it is to trip the relay to turn the fan on.

Re: Wiring Electric Fan without ECM
Thanks for the help! I have another question about wiring an hei distributor in place of the old ecm distributor. How exactly do I need to rewire the stock tachometer line to the fit the new hei distributor?
