dash harness opportunity
I have an opportunity to grab a dash harness out of an 89 TBI Auto Formula (because I'm not paying for it
) to replace my hacked and mutilated bundle of dash wires. Would this be a direct swap harness (with minimal to no mods) for my 88? Thanx.

Re: dash harness opportunity
TBI wiring and TPI wiring are NOT directly compatible.
Wiring in Digital Dash cars is not compatible with Analog dash cars.

Re: dash harness opportunity
Could the tbi stuff ( presuming it not totally integrated into the connectors) be replaced with the old tpi stuff? Or would that basically constitute a rewiring of the harness?

Re: dash harness opportunity
Connecting a TBI harness to a TPI harness isn't impossible - but it's FAR from plug and play. Changes in the Speedo System, Power distribution, & Electric fan are just a few of the incompatible systems. I wouldn't bother converting unless I HAD to for some reason. IMO - you better off buying/getting the correct harness.
