Hatch pull down issues -- help

First off, I have looked at all the other posts about this issue and none seem to fit my issues.

I can not get the hatch to work properly. The relay does work as I have manually tested it and I bought a new one just incase. Weird thing is when I manually cycle the switch that the deck lid presses the relay will not cycle but the truck light will go off but when I use my test light on the brown wire it will cycle. So it seems like whatever is suppose to ground the brown wire in the circuit is not working properly. The reverse switch that attaches to the top of the hatch motor also has current running through both terminals. I do not have an extra Camaro sitting around that I can test. I was thinking it was a bad reverse switch but even with it removed the brown wire always has power.

If someone could tell me which wires are suppose to have power when the deck lid is up and down or just going into the hatch motor would also be helpful. Kind of lost on this issue. Thanks in advance.
