all lights on while braking?

Transmission: Automatic
all lights on while braking?
Issues. Hitting brake causes all running lights.. everything but headlight and fog lights to come on. Running led bulbs. Car is 89 formula. Other issue.. if night time running lights are on.. brake is normal. But braking while using turn signal has either blinker for passenger side. Or h azzards for driver side. Help?

This IS textbook , classic , "bad ground" territory . When one set of lights operates ALL the lights , it's doing it cause of the lost ground making the other lights the return path for the current . Check ALL ground lugs to the rear lighting harness and I'll bet ya find one (or more) broken ..... Last edited by OrangeBird; Sep 5, 2014 at 09:59 AM. Reason: just noticed the mention of LEDs . Have you tried it using regular incandescent bulbs ?
