car wont crank, really need help guys

hey guys, I'm in the process of getting my LS swap done, everything is in but the car wont crank, I have power at the starter but not from the key to the starter, and I have no idea where to start looking, its a t56 from a 2000 camaro and 2008 5.3 LS engine.

where is the safety neutral switch located? any pics or info would really get me out of a jam right now, thanks

When you say "LS swap" , are we to assume this car already had a standard shift , or was it automatic ? If it was automatic the neutral safety switch was mounted to the shifter and was removed when the shifter was . If the car was originally standard shift then the neutral switch was on the original transmission and don't forget there is a clutch switch in the circuit as well ..

PS , I almost forgot , 1989 means your car has/had VATS , have you checked the VATS relay under the plastic kick panel where the hood release pull lever/****/whatever it's called ?
