power antenna question
the power antenna on my 88 GTA does not work, the motor works fine but the nylon cable is in pieces. i attempted to fix it by JB welding in a new steel cable, sadly it went down once and the jb weld did not work.... so i have a question, is there a power antenna that will work to replace the whole thing or should i just buy the replacement cord that is meant for the antenna. i would rather not put in a solid antenna as i want to keep the car original-ish. any recommendations guys and gals?

Re: power antenna question
FIRST OFF: I hate power electric antennas altogether... All though the lovely old antenna assemblies installed in our cars really were not all that grand even when NEW back in their day. The new/ remanufactured/ replacement assemblies are even worse. I'm sure someone here has replaced their antenna assembly with decent results from one of the sponsors... I'd search through the sponsors and go that route. :-D
