Engine: carb 350

Transmission: t56

Axle/Gears: 2.72 10 bolt

Randomly disconnected wires and other things i dont even know

so i recently got a 1987 trans am, and have discovered problems which involve wiring *shudders* oh how i loath wiring. anyway, in the engine compartment some wires arent connected to anything, i believe i have a short in the headlights, which i dont know anything about, and the brake lights dont work, only the top one on the back window. i was wondering if anyone could help me here

i just realized i dont know how to post pics here, so i could use some help with that too

Gonna be really hard to help w/out some pics.Which you can load from the reply page in the "manage attachments" box or you can host them on something like this (which I like using) www.tinypic.com
For the brake/head lights you should start with checking the fuses.

We don’t probably won’t need pics to fix those problems.

You mentioned Headlights which is need for night driving.

You are guessing you have a short.

When you try to turn on the Headlights what happens, do the blink, do they never go on………..?
