shifter plate light
Hello everyone I recently put door pins on both sides of the car and when I turned the lights on in the car I noticed that the shifter plate light no longer lights up,
I was wondering if taking the electrical connections for the door motors could have messed that up.
I was also wondering how the bulb for the automatic shifter plate is serviced.
and for anyone who is a damn genius, I have a kenwood stereo that worked fine for 4 years But just today it keeps cutting out and going back to demo mode THE SAME THING IS GOING ON IN MY DADS SS CHEVELLE AND WE BOTH HAVE THE SAME STEREO MODEL, The power is not the issue because we have it hard wired in the chevelle to the battery.
I know this is a big post but its just frustrating I appreciate the input
And wanna send a shout out to static80,your help about the pins was useful

You will have to pull the pin out of the back of the shifter ****, then take the torx screws from around the shifter plate and ashtray out and the whole shifter plate should lift off. I have found putting the car in neutral helps, but is not necessary. The bulb socket twists out, and the bulb just plugs right in.
As for the head unit, could be a factory defect cause both head units are the same, and having the same problem. I would exchange if under warranty.
Head unit also sounds like there is a problem with the constant 12v wire. Hence defaulting back to demo mode.
