minimal wires in engine bay

I have an 84 z28. I did away with the ccc completely. I looked around and couldn't find what I'm looking for.

I'm wanting to clean up my engine bay and get rid of all unnecessary wires. I figured the easiest way would be to get rid of the factory harness for the most part. The harness coming out of the pass fender well has already been removed. Now I'm working on the c100 harness. I know everything on the left side of the bulk head is necessary for head lights, turn signals, etc. On the right side, however, I'm really just wanting to do away with the whole harness and tie my new, self made, harness into only what I need.

Long story short, for those that have gone completely old school in their engine bay, how did you do it? Do you have a wire diagram that you'd care to share with me?

I need ideas of how to wire the battery, alt, starter, hei distribution, and interior together while keeping normal starting function.

Thanks for everyone's help. Excuse the poorly written post, wrote on cell while staring at my car.

ccc? Everything in C100 will be vital unless you can live without one or more of the following systems; wipers, lights, gauges, (cruise?).

I will take a stab on the HEI, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm assuming the advance was controlled by the computer (7 pin connector), if so the HEI will have to be replaced with an aftermarket (4 pin).

Battery, alt, starter, interior will stay the same. HEI as mentioned above.

I have a fuel injected LS1, A/C, cruise, wipers, lights, e-fans. All the wiring in my bay is not visible. It is not about deleting wiring, it is about rerouting/hiding it. A/C blower, dryer, ECM, Cruise (digital), all went under the dash. Coil packs went under headers. All engine wiring comes straight out from the firewall onto pass. cylinder head. The light harness (half C100) was rerouted out drives kick panel under/down the fender. Wipers, brake wire, straight out of firewall to their modules. Battery (moved) to Pass quarter panel. E-fan wiring down pass frame horn. There is nothing in my engine bay but an engine, brake booster, and wiper motor. I even relocated the hood release.

Computer Controled Carburetor. I have no ecu at all, ac has been deleted. I'm going to a top post battery, just for simplicity. I have an optima red top with top and side posts. I want to replace the wiring harness with a cleaner and better routed homemade harness.

I agree with camarotucker;
Everything in C100 will be vital
.

Not sure why you would want to alter your C100,... On 82-87 cars it's already as bare-bones as an engine wiring harness could be.

In any case; Here's the correct wiring schematic for your 84'

Good Luck !
