85 T/A Parking Light Stays Lit
So I just picked up an 85 T/A and I am working on getting it roadworthy. When I got the car the only exterior lights that worked were the headlights. One was stuck up and one was stuck down, but the bulbs lit. Everything else was dead.
I found fuse #7 (20A) blown so I replaced it. As soon as I put the new fuse in the one headlight that had been stuck in the up position went down. Turning the headlights on, all the exterior lights came on! So I was pretty happy with that. But I still have a bit of a problem.
My issue is with the right side front parking light (the one next to the headlight). With just parking lights on, it's nice and bright. If I turn the headlights on, that one parking light gets really dim. Then, if I turn the lights completely off, this one parking light remains dimly lit!
The only way I could get it to turn off was to pull the fuse again. It's dark and snowing outside, so I didn't investigate any further, but I suspect there has to be a short somewhere. I am not great with these electrical things, so I am looking for some help/advice.
Where should I start looking? Is there a common place or fault that causes a short like this in these cars
