Fuel pump

I was working on a fuel issue, jumping the relay connector. I forgot to plug the fuel pump relay back in, and the car started and drove fine. Is that normal? or is my wring all messed up?

Re: Fuel pump

These engines have an oil pressure bypass switch to provide power to the fuel pump even if the relay is not cooperating. Probably noticed it took a little longer to start?
