Will work PROPERY = 82-83-84 with V8
Will be accurate for your 84 Z = 84 with V8
Will work but not "plug-&-play" compatible = 85-89 with V8
In 85 the Camaro dash wiring changed and so did the clusters printed circuit. If your 84 used an 85-89 cluster there will be a backlighting & BRAKE warning light problem.
82-83-84 clusters are each "unique" for their year,..... but all (gauge clusters) in that range use the same printed circuit.
Remember: A V6 tachometer is not compatible with a V8 engine. ( check oil pressure gauge: 30/60 = V8 and 40/80 = V6. )
