1988 firebird gta distributor roader.

Hey everyone, I havea 1988 firebird gta 305 tpi. Im not geting any spark to my wires, i replaced the coil, still no spark, and then I replaced the cap.. stil no spark, now im trying to repalce the roader and I cant figure out how to get it off. theres no bolts holding it down. Everyone tells me that I should be able to pull it right off. Its on there tight. Is there a certian way its supposed to be taken off? I need help! feedback would be appreciated !

87-up is push-on.

Pull harder. Wiggle it. Tap with a hammer. It will come off
