Side marker wierdness

I have put new bulbs in all but the headlights. Everything works properly except when I turn on the right turn signal. With the right signal on the side marker light on that side goes out. That light only goes out when the right signal is on. What could be in the issue?

Re: Side marker wierdness

The front turn signal and side marker will flash opposite of each other. If the front if off the side will be on, when the front is on the side will be off. This is a normal function of the circuit.

The driver side marker and signal flash at the same time. I'm thinking it's the sign of an issue because the right doesn't flash whether it's the dash light or the outside lights (probably should've put that last part in the original post lol)

Re: Side marker wierdness

With the headlight switch off, the front turn signal and the marker light flash simultaneously.

With the headlight switch on (either park or head), the front turn signal and the marker light flash alternately.

Which position is the headlight switch when the marker light doesn't flash?

Depending on whether the headlight switch is on or off determines where the marker light gets its ground.

When the headlights are on and the right signal is on the marker is off and the lights don't flash. When the headlights are off and the signal is on the marker is on but the lights do not flash. I have also just last night replaced the turn signal switch.

The one common denominator is that the signals don't flash. It sounds like you have a bad flasher.

How do the lights behave when you turn on the hazard flashers?
