VATS EXPERTS - I'M BUYING 91 Z28 with no keys
I have read through quite a few threads on VATS & I haven't found any answers to my situation.
I bought a 91 Z28, it has a swapped engine that is NOT running TPI. It has an aftermarket fuel pump on a switch on the console. The car was bought without ANY keys but know the guy personally & know it's not stolen & have title. The keys were stolen while they were in his wife's purse so no chance of recovery.
What needs to be done to get the car to start?
A: have a locksmith make a key, then take the key to the dealer to have one made.with chip?
B: find a car being parted out & buy column with key & the VATS module (unlikely )
C: bypass the VATS by connecting 2 big wires on the module then getting a locksmith to make a key?
D: listen to experts who have a simple solution here on TGO?

Have a regular key made for it and contact Tuned Performance.
