H4 HID Conversion problem (firebird) along with inquiry for information on newer kits
Purchased a 91 Formula back on April 24th. Flipped the lights on last weekend 30 seconds or so later the drivers light went out. Turned them off and back on. Just the pass side came on. Flipped them off again and watched the drivers headlight from inside the car. While the light is down and you flip the switch there is flickering light around the light cover but once it flips up there is nothing. Off and on again several times and the same thing flickering right after you turn the lights on but the drivers side is off once the lights come up.
I have no idea who made this kit nor does the previous owner. I've pulled the light assembly out and checked all the connections on the drivers side.
The pics below show the only information that is on anything. I haven't pulled the bulb to see what it is though. Not that it will lead to who made the kit or anything.
If I can't track this down and get it working I'll obviously purchase another H4 kit. It seems that there are different ballasts now. Main ones at a lot of places are digital and claim there isn't a relay harness needed? Also many places offer an upgrade to 50watt over 35watt which is what is in the car now. Obviously I need a Bi Xenon kit so I have high and low. So looking for some insight from those that have newer kits. What is the better ballast type, does the digital ones need a relay harness or just the bulbs, ballasts, and conversion harness. Etc....
