There is a purple wire that is cut and I have no idea what it connects to but I believe this is what is prevent my car from starting. all I know that it was touched to something and the car started to turn over. Engine is an LB9. Pictures are below.
Comes from the bulkhead connector; in the harness across the trans tunnel area.
Car been attacked by one of those people that bought their first pair of dykes and all the sudden every wire looked too long and like it was working too good for him? There oughta be a law saying you have to take a personality inventory before you can even qualify to buy those, to eliminate people like that; and then have to PROVE you know why NOT to EVER cut important wires like that, so people don't end up in a mess like you're in now.
And I'm afraid things are gonna get worse for that 24 guy before they get any better !
I say this because once you get the purple wire properly reconnected and the starter is able to be cranked by key command , even if it does start , it still won't be charging the battery . Look closely at the photo of the alternator . In the very right hand edge of the photo I see what looks like the output stud with no wire connected to it . Providing I'm seeing what I think I am , there is a large wire missing from that stud that should be connected to the junction block off of the battery's positive wire . Without that , no power will get to the battery from the alternator and it won't charge ....
Bottom line = you may need experienced wiring help if it's as butchered as it appears .
