Blown fuse(s)

Just went to drive mine and I recently installed a Bluetooth radio in it. Was just about to set off when I switched the lights on and I think one of the fuses has blown. The headlights won't go down now, they're stuck up, I lose the dashboard lights along with the sidelights. Are they all on the same fuse? Also where is the fuse box located?

Assuming you have a US version of Firebird , with the steering wheel on the left side of the car (I had heard that some Firebirds imported to Australia were converted to Right hand drive , I don't know about England , though) the fusebox should be under the dash , to the left side of the steering column . Now if it has been converted to RH drive , I have no clue where the fusebox would get relocated to . Also , as a point of general information , fuses usually don't just blow unprovoked . The wiring harness in both the front fenders and the trunk ("Boot" ?) should be checked to make sure they haven't gotten chafed or otherwise grounded .

Good Luck , and post back your findings ....

It hasn't been converted to RHD so the fusebox is still on the left side. I found the blown fuse and replaced it. The reason it blew is because the bluetooth radio I'd installed was wired up incorrectly so I'll have to go back to the drawing board. Also is there anywhere I can get a replacement plastic unit that surrounds the radio and heater controls?

Great news about the fuse , and as to a replacement radio surround maybe Hawk's third gen or 1A Auto or Camaro/Firebird central may be able to help . Also , the for sale ads here could possibly have someone selling such a part , I see all kinds of interior parts listed there .
