Idiot light

okay guys I am trying to wire up my 3 wire alternator and I am having trouble finding out what size light bulb I should use for the exciter wire, I am going to Radio Shack later today to get the light bulb but can someone tell me a part number or what kind of bulb is needed for the idiot light for the alternator, thanks!

and just for reference this light bulb is not going in the factory location I am running a brand new wire to switched 12volts so I need the light bulb and its socket thanks
