looking on ebay for a new distributor
ok, i parked my carbureted, 86TA long ago, now no spark. i replaced the ignition module and still no spark. i'm thinking about just getting an entire new distributor on ebay because they're cheap but i'm not sure which one will work with my car. i'm really busy so i just want a high energy distributor that will drop-in so i can get this **** started. i don't want to have to screw around any more. there's a plethora of cheap new distributors on ebay from which to choose. any suggestions.

One of the biggest problems I have found with the cheap eBay distributors is the right distributor drive gear.i would recommend swapping the drive gear from your old distributor to the new one no matter what it says in the ad.you don't want to take a chance.it Will not end well if they put the wrong gear on there.I have found the ones from summit work good they are cheap.

Are you using a computer or pre computer hei with the vacuum can?
I have used 2 of those $50 generic made in china hei's with no issues. Considering all delco stuff seems to be made there I was willing to give it a shot. 60000 miles with zero problems. I would not take a chance with the hecho in china distributor gear on a roller cam though.
