Vats bypass new engine no start
Hey guys I just put a new turn key engine into my 92' camaro and the engine is a SP350 turn key from gm... it's running ona nice holley carb now was a tbi engine before. Now I've got my o.e.fuel pump disconnected and have an external fuel pump for carb temporarily. I know that it's working properly.
Anyways I've got my grounds and all hooked up properly but I believe my V.A.T.S. is preventing me from start up when I turn the key I get absolutely nothing happening.
Could anybody give me some insight onto how to disable the vats system...I couldnt get a clear idea of how to disable properly ...I'm no longer using the computer at all! So I'm thinking that's the issue right now any help would be great and very appreciative. Please understand this is my first engine swap, so I may not know everything 100%. Thanks guys! You're the best!!!

According to this schematic,
http://austinthirdgen.org/mkportal/m..._continued.gif
you need to connect the Green/Yellow wire to ground. This is the wire coming from the VATS module. VATS should apply ground to that relay once it sees the correct key, but since you've already removed the ECM you bypassed the fuel injector disable already. This will be quicker than fixing the VATS issue and is what I did to my car after my engine swap. Once my car is back on the road I intend to place a toggle switch on this circuit so that I can create a starter disable of my own.
