Where is the Light Driver Module (SES light)?

In the console, under the radio or nearby there. It's a light green or aqua plastic box, maybe 35 x 50 x 15mm, has about 5 or 6 wires going to it.

So is it attached to anything else or just on its own little spur? Do all firebirds have one? It's not mentioned in my 85 service manual?

It's sorta tie-wrapped or taped up to the harness.

No idea about Firebirds specifically; but based on the way the light works, I don't see where the sheet metal wrinkles and sticker packages would have much to do with it. Of course if the car isn't computer controlled (no idea whether any given export model was, for example) then it wouldn't be needed at all.

I didn't write the manual. Can't help you there.

Light Driver = Carb or Crossfire only; not used for FI. In Fuel Injected cars the ECM controls the C/E light directly.
