Battery Cable Questions

Hey all,

I have a no start, no crank condition and I think it is all due to the old *** battery cables in my car. I had researched new cables through the forums and it seems that everyone recommends www.innovativewiring.com My question is this. My negative currently only has one lead, and it goes to the block. And the positive only has 3 leads. Starter, alternator and power block. I do not see anything like this on his site and I'm wondering if part of my problems with this car are because of bad wiring, from when it was purchased. On the ground cables he is showing there are two ground, one is the block of course but where is the other ground point supposed to be? And I do not understand whats with all the power wires with connectors.

Anyone care to give me some direction? I'd like to get the new cables ordered ASAP. Just wondering if I should special order some.

The extra black ground goes to the front of the car. I'll show some pictures.

The above are on the 89 GTA. I liked the Innovative Wiring kit so much, that I bought another one of his kits for our Blazer. Those pictures are below.

Re: Battery Cable Questions

Reid,
Awesome pics, and thanks for the reply. But what are the extra connectors for on the power side then? Alt, starter, and power block, whats with the 3 pin and 2 wire options? Just want to make sure I order the right one.
