New user - need some help with wiper motor wiring

Hello, we have this:

http://www.wholesalegmpartsonline.co...ssembly=365369

First off, the motor doesnt work, so we got a new motor. Installing the new one did same thing (doesnt work). Anyway, Im trying to understand the wiring of this particular motor. There are two pins on the bottom of the motor itself - but they are connected to each other and to the motor body (and the middle pin at the top). Then on the top connector, the first and third pins seem to be connected. Where does ground go, and where does power go? If I put 12v on the bottom of the motor pin(s), it seems the entire casing would be live so that doesnt make any sense to me. Sigh. Thanks

With the wiper unit unplugged, key in the ACCY position, and the wiper switch in the HI position, use a voltmeter or test light
(the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) to probe the pink, dark green, gray, and purple wires.
Which wires do you have power on?

Bottom 2 should be + and - and they had alot of different models so top connections vary. Id assume thered be a + and - and a variable +.

I feel like your problem lies with a fuse ir a connection issue. Fill your fuse box and make sure there arent loose harnesses under colomn.
