87 Camaro Power Mirror Motors
Anyone know if the door mirror motors are dedicated to left and right side? I had my set apart for painting, I didn't mark the motors left or right side when they were removed. When it was time to assemble the mirrors both motors and wiring looked the same and assembly went good. The issue I am having is the mirror left and right switches control up/down movement for both mirrors, and the up/down switches control left and right movement for both mirrors, the 4 way switch works backwards.
Thanks

Re: 87 Camaro Power Mirror Motors
It sounds like the motors got installed in the wrong hey were re-assembled. Check out this pic:

If this motor is installed correct ( as shown ), the TOP adjusting post will move the mirror UP/DOWN and the side adjusting post will adjust the mirror SIDE/SIDE. If this motor is turned and installed in the pass side ( it will fit in the wrong housing ) then the TOP adjusting post will be moved to the side and will then adjust the SIDE-SIDE adjustment.

That was it, swapped the motors good now, new paint I didn't want to handle the mirrors any more than I had to.
