Starter - Solenoid

Lately, I sometimes have to turn the ignition key
twice or three times to get any sound at all.
Could be a "kiss of death" warning?
Is the solenoid in the starter?

To find out, use a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) to probe the wire going to the solenoid power input.

Make the wire long enuff to bring into the cockpit.

Now, when you try to crank, but there is no click, is there power?

If yes, the solenoid going bad.

Happy Racing !
