Coolant Gauge
Good afternoon all I was wondering if anyone might be able to give me some advice/direction. I have an 84 camaro and my coolant gauge is not working. It actually hasn't been working since I've owned the car so I'm not sure if it ever actually did. It's been over ten years that I've owned the car and I'd say it's about time I address the issue. The car was originally a 305 but I did a motor swap quite a few years ago to a 350. The motors out of a 74 corvette if I am right. I have constant 14 volts at the gauge and from what I was reading in the manual that is supposed to drop as the engine warms up. I'm hoping that sounds right? I did notice that it seems once I turn the ignition to the off position the gauge seems to be reading a temerature. Is it possible my wires are reversed and it is polarity sensitive? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Re: Coolant Gauge
There is a solid green wire that comes out the drivers side head in the loom look for that wire usually the coolant gauge sender is screwed into the drivers side head should be around that area if its a 305, car.
