Steering column wiring

Ok hopefully my last wiring hiccup. I am working on what is said to be an 88 gta. car is pieced together. Working on steering column I have one plug finished. But there are 4 small wires and another plug i don't have. Is this the radio controls or something else.

Re: Steering column wiring

I can't recall but I would lean towards cruise control or wipers. I'm fooling around with column stuff now on my build and I'm thinking that's what it is. Were both cars of the same transmission?

The wires coming out of the radio controller/horn pad are yellow, orange, grey and black. So I'm not sure. Maybe, but then what would the blue one do?
Is that your turn signal switch?

That's the part that's confusing cruise is a small black two pin wire. That's the parts after my turn signal switch wires. Those wires are 22 gauge so they can't carry much voltage. Did they have a light warning system on some cars?

The detailed wiring schematics that I have available are all for 90-92 cars. So it's possible that GM changed the colors. That being said the turn signals should be four wires (Duh, right?) a light blue, dark blue, yellow and dark green.
The wiper controls are also four wires: Pink, Purple, dark Green and Grey.
The horn is a black wire only.
The VATS is a yellow, Pink
An airbag would be White and Dark Green.
Red, Pink and Yellow would be associated with the starter relay

I'm striking out.

Re: Steering column wiring

I appreciate the help attempt. I'm trying to find a factory wiring manual. Using a painless harness we have most wired now it's just curiosity wtf these are supposed to do since they don't match any diagrams I have.

That's a wider shot showing turn signal and wipers I already ran.

Re: Steering column wiring

Those (5 wires) are for the steering wheel control connector. Got the same ones on my 88 GTA.

Re: Steering column wiring

Thanks really appreciate that help. Was scratching my head. With this car i cant assume anything is year specific so colors may be off.
