S-10 T5 cable to VSS conversion
S-10 T5 cable to VSS conversion
I know there are many threads on the VSS sending units but I am somewhat confused and need help. I have a T5 tranny from an S-10 mounted to my 3.1 V6 from a 91 Camaro. Need the S-10 tranny as the shifter location was more forward. The S-10 T5 has a cable speedometer output and the 3.1 ECM requires the VSS input. How do I convert the T5 to electronic VSS? Appreciate the help!

Yup. The one that would have come in about a 91 Camaro or Firebird w/ T-5.
NLA new AFAIK. Not easy to find used. But they're out there.

The S10 T5 had a reluctor style VSS starting around 89.
Because they used the NWC T5 through 93 or so, there are some of those tail housings out there and guys who would like to swap VSS for cable drive.
