VAT starter bypass Chip question

Hi and thanks in advance for the help. I went and did the resistor trick for the #7 key for my car. It worked intermittently and now the security light is on permanently and the car won't start. I made a jumper today and jumped the starter relay, located in the left kick panel, and the car turns over like it should, but of course will not start due to the fuel.

Bottom line, can the fuel/injectors be enabled with a new chip in the ECM and will it still show a security light when started?

Any recommendations on a person that can program a new chip for the car that will enable it to run with the VAT bypassed?

Thanks again. Mike

Re: VAT starter bypass Chip question

Yes, VATS can be disabled in the ECM that will enable the injectors to fire, even without a functioning VATS system.

The light will still be on in the dash however, since it's an external module to the ECM that is where the heart of the VATS system is.
