oil pressure gage !

hi all just installed a 350 with carb in 88 formula. the oil presure gage pegs as soon as i turn the key .un pluged it still peged .ive read sumwhear that bwhen doing the swap you can get this problem anyone know why and how to fix it

Unplugged is the same thing, electrically, as max pressure. Open connection = pegged.

Grounded = zero pressure. Try that: with the key on, stick a paper clip or something into the connector and ground it, and see if the gauge zeroes. If it does, you need a sending unit. (or maybe, to just plug the wire back into it)

yep its pluged in .fitted new sender still the same .will try paper clip and c whot hapens .
