How does horn work?

Hey guys got an 87 IROC camaro...some of you have already responded to my horn problem...thanks btw. Okay so I ordered the cancelling cam and what not...I noticed the spring goes under the cancelling cam...question is it doesnt seem like that in theory (just by looking at it) that when yout press the button it wouldnt do anything thing? Like there isnt an mechanical feeling that you feel when you press the horn button. Can you smart guys give me a technical answer to this question and how when you press the horn button it works...thanks. Hope the makes sense. To clarify. Okay you not knowing a lot about horns, ordered the horn button (leather), the cancelling cam, and harness...you look at it and are like "How does this press into the harness and essentially make noise?

Re: How does horn work?

The horn button has two metal discs, one clips into the steering wheel (ground), the other has the horn wire clipped to it. When you push the horn button, the discs touch and the circuit is completed.
