wiper motor

how would I find out what type of wiper motor to buy for my 1988 oldsmobile cutless ciera? It's a 2 terminal and 3 terminal for sale and I'm not sure which one to buy.

If the parts store cannot tell you which one to buy then you need to look and see how many wires you wiper motor has.

We're not sure here either, since this site is devoted exclusively to 82-92 Camaro/Firebird. It is not a general automotive Q&A.

That said, if I were in your situation, I'd open the hood of my .... whatever ... and count the terminals. (one... two... ?three?...) Then I'd go to AutoZone or ebay or wherever and ask for a wiper motor for a ... whatever car that doesn't belong here that you said you have ... and I'd take whatever s/he hands me out of the box and see if it looks like the one on my ... whatever that was.
