CS144 Belt size?

Hey guys, I am upgrading my 5.0 TPI with the CS144 alt following these instructions: http://sethirdgen.org/cs144.htm

Now I need a longer belt, my belt setup is stock, with A/C, Power Steering, Smog Pump... Stock length for a 91 TPI should be 6PK2400... how much longer needs the belt to be? Can't find any information for a stock setup. Someone said you need 6PK2540... isn't that a little bit too long?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, you're probably just going to have to measure it on your own. Wrap all the pullies with a piece of wire or string and measure it when done.

WOW! That method is much more complicated than the CS144 upgrades I have done! Especially considering that bracket is almost impossible to source now days.

I literally take a CS144 for a Vortec 350. Drill one mounting hole slightly larger. Use one longer bolt and a nut and it bolts to the OEM bracket setup. The ones I have swapped I use a 2" longer belt than factory.

Really? Do you have a # number for a direct fit CS144?
