Re: switch id

Berlinettas could have a wide variety of switches depending on options... The 86 assembly manual shows possible positions for about 6 switches.

John in RI will probably be along shortly, and he'll know for sure.

Re: switch id

Per the 86 Assembly Manual... Pasta-bilities include fog lamps, rear wiper washer, rear hatch release, cruise control, and rear defrost.

The window switches are pretty self-evident, as is the rear defroster switch at the back. The solitary switch in the middle looks like a hatch release switch, but the book suggests the hatch release will always be between the window switches. But if the car didn't have the hatch release, apparently that spot and the other could be any of the other options fog lights, cruise, or rear wiper washer.

Best guess.

Re: switch id

the hatch release is the slide switch right above the rear defroster,i thought it was a window lock switch but is not. mine is a 1985 berlinetta ,it does have cruise but no fog lights ,when I flip the switch forward the blue light comes on

FWIW, see the attachment. Also, don't believe everything you read; there are no approvals in the signature block on the drawings. Even if there were, tread lightly.

BINGO !

Sometime in early 85 the switch was moved from behind the Pedestal Radio to the center console.
