Heavy wire from starter through firewall
Does anyone know what the heavy wire coming from the starter to fuseable link then through the firewall next to ac box goes to. I unhooked it when removing the ac because i thought it had something to do with the ac but now I'm having problems keeping a charge on my battery. I'm wondering of this has something to do with that. Just trying to trouble shoot. Battery and alternator tested good. I have a 1988 iroc convertible. Originally a 305 tpi car. Now has 406 and a 6al for ignition
