All power cuts when I try to start my car
All power cuts when I try to start my car
I have a 1999 Chrysler LHS, and every time I turn the key in the ignition, the car will click then cut all power for about 15 minutes. I had the alternator checked, and it was fine. My battery was bad, so I got a new one. My starter was also bad, so I replaced it. After checking all of my fuses and relays, I don't know what else to do! My car will start just fine when jumped by another car.

Kind of sounds like the way an auto-reset breaker works. Short circuit somewhere in the system trips the breaker, then breaker resets after a few minutes of cooling down.

Had nearly the exact same situation a few years ago. Check for corrosion on the battery terminals. Cleaned 'em up and car started right up. Haven't had the situation return.
Oh, and ditch the Chrysler and get a thirdgen. That will cure your testicular fortitude situation.

Only had to push mine once, and that was because the Pontiac dealership forgot to tighten my u-joint bolts. But unlike a lot of the thirdgens on the road, I actually do "preventative maintenance" instead of waiting till it breaks down.
