ECM removal & need help with electric speedo.
I've got a 84 Camaro with an 700r4 in it that has an electronic speedo. I want to remove the ECM entirely and the only problem I'm facing is how my speedo will work without it. According to what I could dig up, the trans has a little square plug that goes into the ECM and then the ECM goes to your gauge. Is there any way around this? I have to use this trans, but I absolutely will not have the ECM if I can, in any way, remove it.

Are you sure you don’t have a cable drive speedometer. The plug might be for tcc lockup.
