Can I use the cruise control switch to control a line lock?

Can I use the cruise control switch to control a line lock?
I'll be installing a brake line lock this spring and looking for a discrete way to wire it in. The car had cruise control originally, but I've taken it off when I converted from TPI to Holley Terminator EFI. I'm wondering if anyone has used the cruise control switch (Set/Coast for example) to control a relay? I think it would be pretty cool to just hold the switch on the end of the stalk and be able to activate the line lock, and with it being a momentary switch, and still having that portion of the harness in the engine compartment it might be real easy to wire it in. Do you think that little switch could handle the current of operating a relay? Has anyone used that, or repurposed another original switch to control something different like a line lock?

Yes it's possible and would be easy to do if the wiring is exposed. I kept my cruise control wiring for that very reason, I just don't have anything to operate yet. I was thinking of using mine for table switching or datalogging in MS. The cruise switch can operate a relay since relays only require a fraction of an amp to energize.
