Headlight low beam issue
Hey everyone, my car is a 1983 Z28 and recently the passenger side lowbeam went out. Now when I switch to high beams all four come on and I replaced the low beam bulb with a new one and it still does not have any low beam on that side. The low beam on the driver’s side does work still. Thoughts on what it might be?

Re: Headlight low beam issue
Are you sure you got the right bulb... I don't know the parts off the top of my head but the sealed beam lights can be gotten with a single element (two options here one has no high the other has no low beam element) or dual element (has both high and low in one bulb). My suggestion would be a test light or volt meter and see if you get power to the wires in different switch positions. The socket can be had at most parts stores if it turns out to be the socket.

The left and right headlight sockets are connected VIA a wire.
Make sure that wire is not broken.
It’s possible the wire going into the right headlight socket has a bad or corroded crimp.
Make sure the contacts inside the right headlight socket are clean.
If the above is OK, trace the tan wire coming out of the left headlight socket to make sure it travels unbroken to the right headlight socket.
