Electronic fan wiring plans

I just got an electronic cooling fan from a 91 Firebird off of ebay. My car is a 1984 Camaro Z. I dont think i'll have any mounting problems with it however the fan i have now is mechanichal and i plan on removing it and putting the electronic one in place. how do i go about wiring it? Ive seen that Painless Wiring has a thermostat kit for electric fans is this a good idea? someone please help i dont want to do anything wrong.thanks!!
