Hows it going guys. Has anyone connected a 6AL2 to and MSD 8662 coil? I have a wiring diagram to help with my explaination. Im not too sure what the MSD wiring diagram is saying according to the 2 pink and 2 white wires. Does it go directly to the IGM or the key ignition and tach? Its not clear what and where these 2 pair of wires go. Thanks in advanced.
The MSD diagram is referring to a 87-up car with a divorced coil distributor. You don't have the same wiring on a coil in cap distributor car. On a divorced coil car, the MSD connects to the original wires that run to the coil, then the wires out of the MSD box go back to the coil.
So on an earlier car, the wires to the coil go to the MSD, wires from the MSD to the coil.
