I have this 89 camaro rs 3.1 v6 and I bought it off someone that didn’t have the keys but we got the right paper work. Long story short I can’t bypass the security light on my car. I put a dial resistor on the steering colum area to the vats system to bypass it and we got it on and got it running then it shuts off. Can anyone help me and get me a good suggestion?

 

If your using a variable resistor , and you found a resistance that allowed VATS to allow the engine to start , and then the engine stalls , it's not VATS that's killing the engine . VATS will prevent the engine from starting , but once it's running VATS will not kill the running engine ...
