Wipers not working

Hey guys, I wanted to post here before i start trying to pull stuff apart on the car for a little guidance. I haven't driven my car in quite a bit, but today i went to take it in to work and the wipers wont work. If i push the washer fluid tab, the wipers will raise and stutter up and down normal speed but only about 2 inches of movement. Years ago i replaced the stalk since the wipers stopped working right (only on high speed) and it is not a GM replacement, but its aftermarket. There was no issue with the wipers before i put the car away for the winter. Thank for any advice!

Doubt it's the stalk,...... when you move the stalk to command an action - something happens. Meaning the stalk send the command. I'm GUESSING the Wiper Assembly or the Wiper Transmission is suspect here.

When I get it to come out of park and stutter when the wash is pushed, there's a clicking going on inside the cowl with the wiper arms. Will have to investigate there further!

It may be the plastic cam inside the wiper motor cover - there's a plastic arm that spins around operating contacts on a circuit board, controlling the movement of the wipers. Although I think if this breaks, the wipers just keep going and stop responding to the switch...

It's another thing to check when you're looking for your clicking noise!
