!989 Camaro HOW do I get the VATS Module out?
1989 IROC Z VERT. HOW the heck to I get to the VATS Module? Dash pad if off. I followed the FSM, moved the fuse box (Convenience Panel) and moved the HVAC control "to the right". Trying to remove HVAC control, do I unplug the vacuum hoses? Radio is out. I cant even SEE the module?
I have a NEW module to install.

UPDATE: I was able to reach up past the Convenience Panel (What a misnomer!) where I found the Vats Module, plugged in, but not bolted in place. New module is plugged in. I think I know why the last guy didn't secure it. How do I get access to secure it? Good Grief! Not easy with my bad back!

Never heard "easy" and "Take the entire dash loose" in the same sentence. I got the old one out and new installed. Thanks.

Start thinking of these cars as modular. The dash is a module. Once things are out of the way, it's something like 10 fasteners and the dash comes out as a unit. Then the VATS module is right there in the open.
