Car: '83 Firebird (T/A Clone)
Engine: 350 with L-69 components
Transmission: 700R-4, 2000 RPM stall converter
Axle/Gears: 10-bolt/3.73 ..
Alternator Question...

Is there supposed to be a fusible link on the wire going from the alternator to the 12v+ post on tne starter? I was looking at the diagram on Austin Thirdgen, and it shows a fusible link...

Hi TL , I know the ATG schematic is not very clear on this but the fusible link is actually connected to the smaller of the two wires connecting the alternator to the starter terminal (the "12 volt reference") and not to the larger of the two (the one actually bringing the alternator's power to the battery VIA the starter terminal) . So you will not find a fusible link on the big wire , only the small wire will be fed by the fusible link .
