Blower motor resistor location?

I mounted my new blower motor box onto the firewall with RTV, and then realized I forgot to cut a hole to bolt on the resistor to the box... is there a clever alternative location to mount the blower motor resistor? Or is my best bet to re-do the whole RTV & mounting process over again?

It really should go inside the box. The wire needs the cooling of the fan air flow. Maybe you could cut out an oversized cover that the resistors mount to and then just mount that cover to your box.... ?

Thanks for the advice. I removed the box and cut a hole for the resistor as well as the spark coil, then remounted it to the firewall and now it looks great. Lesson learned: don't be lazy, just take the time to do it right and you'll never worry about it again.
