Mass burn off relay, heat sensitive?

Engine: 350 (5.7 TPI)
Transmission: auto 700R4
Axle/Gears: BW 9-bolt L.S.
Mass burn off relay, heat sensitive?
The relay is working fine with cold engine, but once the engine heats up, the relay is clicking very fast ( or not at all), and throwing code 36.
Anybody else found this as well?
I'm going to insulate the relay with some heat wrap, see if this helps.
