Weird Brake/Turn and Headlight Issue

Hey guys. I'm at the final stages of getting this thing ready for the road and I hit a snag. I'm in the process of fixing the lights and all the mice chewn wires. I've managed to get all markers front and rear and both directionals in the front. Now my right rear directional only works. If I put my left on it flashes on the yellow wire going to the hatch contact pad. If I put my brakes on the left brake and turn lamp light up and that's it. I can't understand why the directional would be flashing on the hatch pad. Also the one brake light. On top of all this my headlights have no power on low or high beams. Its a rats nest under the dash and Im trying to figure out what wires to test. I'm thinking I need to access the back of the switch. Is that a pretty safe bet to assume the switch is no good? Thanks.
