Problem cold starting possibly related to fuel pump

When I start my camaro after sitting for even a short while, it takes multiple turn of the engine for it to start. Eventually the fuel pump starts humming and then after I turn the key it starts immediately. I’ve already checked the pump and relay so they are fine. Possibly a wiring problem? 1986 z28 Tuned port injection

Re: Problem cold starting possibly related to fuel pump

Fuel pump is only running off the backup power provided through the oil pressure switch.
